HOW WE DO THESE THINGS

    Grace Adoptions primarily places children who are newborn or still in infancy, of all races / cultural backgrounds.  We also assist families to adopt children who are in foster care systems in the different states.  We utilize telephone books, an internet web site, and the classified ads in various newspapers to locate people who are interested in making an adoption plan.  We also work with crisis pregnancy centers for referrals, conduct adoption workshops for referrals, and have several nation-wide toll-free telephone numbers.   

    If a birthmother desires to select the family to raise her baby, we show the family's portfolios in the order in which the family retained Grace Adoptions to represent them.  If the birthmother does not want to choose, then the family on the list who has been waiting the longest is offered the opportunity with the birthmother.

    Grace Adoptions seeks families who can provide children with a good Christian home.  There are no age limits for adoptive parents, although parents who are single, younger than 25 and older than 55 may have some special challenges in the adoption process. 

     The length of time to complete an adoption may vary greatly depending on the type of adoption you are seeking.  Minority, special needs, and international adoptions may be completed in shorter time frames than a domestic infant adoption.  There are several things you can be doing that usually shorten the time to finalize an adoption.

    Home study requirements are addressed on the next page.  We work with other agencies across the nation facilitating the interstate compact process.

    Total costs depend on the type of adoption you are seeking to complete.  We will be happy to discuss all aspects of adoption finances with you.

Adoption records are highly confidential, by law.  If you desire references, We  will contact previous clients and give them your name and contact information so they can contact you, if they so desire.  Most are very happy to talk with you and tell you of their experiences with Grace Adoptions.
